Carlo Maynez was born into a musical family in 2001. Began piano studies at age four and cello studies at age seven. Carlo is currently studying cello with Jean-Michel Fonteneau at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he will graduate from in 2023. He has played for musicians such as Lynn Harrell, Matt Haimovitz, Richard Aaron, Hans Jensen among others. Carlo has performed in several stages in Mexico, Spain, Venezuela and in the United States and has been featured in Mexico City`s classical music radio station several times. In 2012, he was a First Prize Winner of the National Cello Competition held in Monterrey, Mexico. That same year, he appeared with the Michoacan Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Miguel Salmon del Real. He has recorded several CD`s and attended many summer camps such as The Meadowmount School of Music, Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory, Prince of Asturias Foundation Festival among others. Carlo performed a world premiere in one of the most acclaimed halls in America, Nezahualcoyotl Hall in Mexico City in 2018. He enjoys conducting and playing the piano since he was a piano major student at the National Conservatory of Music, in Mexico City.
Julio César Robles López was born in Mexico City on February 27, 2002. He started his guitar studies in 2010 at the School of Artistic Initiaion No. 3 from the National Institute of Fine Arts. In 2014, he joined at the National Conservatory of Music, in Mexico City, and continued his studies with professor Juan Carlos Chacón. He has taken Suzuki Method courses with Zeah Riordan and Mary Lou Roberts, and master classes with Mauro Zanatta, Manuel Espinás, Louis Trépanier, Owen Moriarty, Jonathan Leathwood, Judicaël Perroy, Xavier Jara, Goran Krivokapić, as well as Leo Brouwer and Jorge Caballero. In 2019, he was accepted at École Supérieure Musique et Danse Hauts-De-France to continue his education with professor Jüdicael Perroy.
